Kangaroo Mother Care at Manchar November 2016

PRERNA Platform partners in collaboration with the State Govt of Maharashtra have established a dedicated Kangaroo Mother Care Center (KMC) at Manchar Sub District Hospital in Khed Rajgurunagar block of Pune district. KMC was inaugurated by Dr. HH Chavan, the Deputy Director, Pune Circle on 14th November, the National children’s day. PRERNA team provided the complete technical support in designing the center as well as training of all relevant staffs from SDH. This platform endeavour was lead by Prerna Young Investigators, namely Dr. Ravi Uppadhaya (CHRD/CAS) and Dr. Sudipto Roy (KEM Pune) with support from CHRD/SAS senior faculty and Arun Dhongade, also a young scientist from KEM.
